The Congressional Medal of Honor is the "single greatest honor" that the NATION, i.e, the United States of America, can bestow on a member of its armed forces. The medal is awarded, i.e., emplaced on the individual awardee, by the President of the United States of America, when possible, but this is not necessary.
It was apropos that CBS correspondent Lara Logan conducted the interview of SSGT Giunta since for CBS she has courageously covered America's conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past nearly two decades, and, as a reporter, has been asking the right questions.
I watched the original broadcast when it aired and as a former grunt officer found my shirt collar wet at segment end. The nation needs more men like SSgt. Giunta.

That's why we are the greatest Country in the World. Men like that right there. It's too bad it's Liberal nuts in Portland with Antifa that get the spotlight.

This person is a supremely exceptional person even if he says he's a mediocre soldier. lol. In this age, we could all learn from this great person's humility.

It's too bad in America the liberal progressives don't consider him a hero. Their hero is Caitlyn Jenner, a MAN with a mental disorder. It makes me sick.

To be a good soldier you have to accept the fact that you may die and be ok with it but have a fire inside to make a difference in the battle first

There's not one medal of honor owner out there that thinks they deserved it, that's pretty special

Now compare these two honorable and brave soldiers next to a guy who goes on Fox News to tell a story, a Chris Kyle type. Which one is the hero? The soldier who risked *everything* and DOES NOT want recognition, and a soldier who can’t wait until he is able to be recognized for an equally brave act. all of these soldiers to Donald Trump, and tell me who has integrity, bravery, and honor innately within them, as men, as soldiers, and as Americans.

One does not "win" the MOH; One is a "recipient of the MOH".
